Adventure Starts Here!

At Unit 7009, we are honored to be patrons of the Pacific Northwest.  From Mount St. Helens and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, to Bend's Three Sisters to the rugged terrain of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Unit 7009 has done it all...well, almost all.

And that's why we tend to spend at least one weekend each month venturing into the world. And we can't wait to have you join us on our next excursion as we learn lifelong skills and gain a care and passion for the great outdoors and the world around us.

Outdoor Adventure

From hiking, biking, fishing and camping to backpacking, urban walks, park adventures, horseback riding, canoeing, shooting sports there's never a dull moment at Unit 7009!

Here, our Scouts discover the joy of adventure and the exhilaration of accomplishing more than you ever thought possible.

Serving Our Community

We are honored to be a part of the Salem Oregon neighborhood, where we get to serve our local community. You'll often find us helping at flag retirement ceremonies', placing American Flags during the holiday, picking up trash, delivering Christmas Cards to elderly at a local assisted living facility, delivering Thank You cards to the local Police and Fire departments, building bird and bat houses or collecting food for the local food bank.
